Add Users Dialog Box

Use the Add Users dialog box to add user accounts to a vault. These can be new users or user accounts already created for other vaults.

To display this dialog box:

Right-click the Users node and select New User.

User List

User list

Lists users who are present on the archive server but who have not been added to this vault.

List Users

(Windows or LDAP login only)

Lists all Windows user accounts specified on the archive server.

New User

Displays New User dialog box.

Selected (and marked) user

Login name

Name the user enters in the login dialog box.

This name cannot be modified. To change the name, create a new user with the correct login name.

Full name

Optionally, type the user's full name.

The default is the user's login name.

Initials

Optionally, type the user's initials.

The default is the first letter of the user's login name.

E-mail

E-mail address of the user.

Notifications to the user go to this address if the Enterprise PDM notification system sends notifications through SMTP.

If blank, a user logged into the vault receives notifications through the built-in Enterprise PDM message system.

Password

Type the user's password.

Confirm Password

Retype the user's password.

User data

Additional information about the user.

Copy permissions and settings from:

Permissions and settings are copied from the user selected in this list.

Next

Displays the User Properties dialog box, where you can view and modify the permissions and settings for the selected users.
