Activate/Transfer Your SOLIDWORKS Product

SOLIDWORKS Product Activation enables you to activate, transfer, or display SOLIDWORKS licenses on this computer.

The Activate/Transfer Your SOLIDWORKS Product screen appears if one of these events occurred:
  • You started SOLIDWORKS and the license for this computer has not yet been activated. (You are in Activate mode.)
  • In SOLIDWORKS, you clicked Help > Activate Licenses. (You are in Activate mode.)
  • In SOLIDWORKS, you clicked Help > Transfer Licenses. (You are in Transfer mode.)

Before you can run SOLIDWORKS products on an individual computer, you must activate the license for that computer.

If you are disabling a computer or transferring SOLIDWORKS from one computer to another, you must transfer the license to the license key server at Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS Corporation and then reactivate it on the other computer.

Click the Product listing to select the SOLIDWORKS product whose license you want to activate or transfer, and specify whether to do that automatically over the internet or manually by email.
If you are activating a SolidNetWork license, the SolidNetWork serial number appears instead of the Product listing.

Contact Information

Specify an email address that SOLIDWORKS can use for license activation.

If you specify manual email activation, SOLIDWORKS sends the license key response file in an email to this address.
