Comparing Vault Documents

To compare documents in the vault:

  1. Click Tools > Compare > Documents.

    SOLIDWORKS Utilities must be added in to SOLIDWORKS.

  2. Click to locate the first document.
  3. In the dialog box, click Browse Vault.
  4. In the Select from Vault dialog box, for Look in, select the vault project and select a file.
  5. Use the Revisions drop-down list to select a revision and click Select.
  6. Select the items to compare and click Run Comparison.
  7. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for the second document.
