Mesh Prep Wizard - Welcome PropertyManager

The Mesh Prep Wizard prepares and cleans up mesh or point cloud files. The wizard produces a mesh feature from which you can create surfaces and a solid model using direct mesh referencing or the Surface Wizard.

To use the Mesh Prep Wizard:

  1. Click Mesh Prep Wizard Tool_Mesh_Prep_Wizard_ScanTo3D.gif (ScanTo3D toolbar) or Tools > ScanTo3D > Mesh Prep Wizard.

    You can also right-click an existing mesh or point cloud in the FeatureManager design tree and select Mesh Prep Wizard from the shortcut menu.

  2. Select a mesh or point cloud in the graphics area.

    The PropertyManager reports the Number of Faces or Number of points.

  3. Click PM_next.gif.
