Specifying Find Parameters for Curve Driven Patterns

The Find: Curve Driven Pattern Parameters dialog box lets you specify Find parameters for a curve driven pattern. The following parameters are available:

Instance count Set a value for the number of instances in the curve driven pattern.

Toggle greater_than.gif to change the comparison symbols >, <, and =.

Equal spacing Select On to find patterns with equal spacing over 360°. If you select Any, the Find utility searches for curve driven patterns regardless of the spacing.
Spacing (available only when Equal spacing is set to Any or Off). Set a value for the spacing length between each instance in the curve driven pattern.

Toggle greater_than.gif to change the comparison symbols, if necessary.

Curve method Select an option to find patterns with the specified curve method.
Alignment method Select an option to find patterns with the specified alignment method.
Seed type Select the seed type.
Seed count Set the number of pattern seed features.

Toggle greater_than.gif to change the comparison symbols, if necessary.

Other direction Select to specify parameters for the opposite direction (Direction2) of the curve driven pattern. When you select this option, specify the options for Instance count, Equal spacing, Spacing, and Pattern seed only.
If you specify parameters for a single direction only, those parameters are used as criteria for finding patterns with single and two directions. For patterns with two directions, if any of the parameters satisfy the Find criteria, the patterns are found.

If you specify parameters for both directions, those parameters are used as criteria for finding patterns with both directions only. In this case, only those pattern features are listed for which both direction parameters are satisfied.

Pattern seed only Select an option to find patterns with only the seed feature patterned in the other direction.
Geometry pattern Select On to find curve driven patterns created with a geometry pattern. Select Any to find curve driven patterns regardless if they were created with a geometry pattern. Select Off to find curve driven patterns created without a geometry pattern.
