Annotation Views - Changing Orientation

You can change the horizontal orientation of annotation views. You might want to change the orientation because:
  • The default view orientation is not acceptable for a drawing view.
  • An imported part was created in the context of an assembly, and the part does not align with standard views.

To change the horizontal orientation of annotation views:

  1. In the FeatureManager design tree, right-click an annotation view and select Edit Annotation View.
  2. Adjust the following under Horizontal Direction in the PropertyManager:
    Option Description
    Direction Reference Select a sketch, edge, or face to change the horizontal direction.
    Invert horizontal direction Flips the annotation view 180°.
    Manual controls Type a value or move the slider to change the annotation view.
