With Costing, you can calculate how much it costs to manufacture multibody weldments or single-body structural members.
Contents
Set the input values for determining the cost of manufacturing a single-body structural member from the Costing Task Pane.
You can view how the Costing tool categorizes required operations and modify operations from the CostingManager on the left side of the SOLIDWORKS software window.
You can create custom operations to apply additional costs to weldments. Typically, these are costs for features that are not modeled in the part, such as painting or shipping.
You can edit manufacturing operations in the Costing template or in the CostingManager.
