To manage files, you must connect to a vault through a working folder called a local vault view created on each client.
Create a vault view using the Administration tool or the View Setup Wizard.
Contents
To set up the vault view, the SOLIDWORKS PDM client must be installed.
A user with local administrative Windows permissions creates a shared vault view. By default, the user profile creating the view folder is granted full file permissions to any files created or cached in that view.
SOLIDWORKS PDM clients can be installed in a terminal environment such as Microsoft Terminal Server or Citrix.
To distribute the vault view using login scripts, launch the View Setup wizard with triggers to automate view installations.
