Activating the Compression or Cleanup Manually

To manually change the schedule for compression or cleanup:

  1. Use the Registry Editor to locate the vault key on the archive server, replacing VAULTNAME with your vault name.
      PDMWorks Enterprise\ArchiveServer\Vaults\VAULTNAME\
  2. Add a new string value, Reg_SZ, named as follows:
    • For compression, CompressionSchedule
    • For cleanup, CleanerSchedule
  3. In the value data, enter the schedule string using the Minute Hour Weekday format described in Compressing a Vault Archive.
  4. Restart the archive server service for the changes to take effect.
    • The schedule is for each archive server and vault.
    • To disable compression or cleanup, set the schedule string to off.
    • Recommendation: run the schedule once every day.
