Embedded Search Commands

Commands for embedded searches appear on the SOLIDWORKS PDM menu bar when a search is active in Windows Explorer.

embedded_search_tool_bar

tool_start_search.gif Start Search  
tool_stop_search.gif Stop Search  
tool_clear_search.gif Clear Search Clears search criteria.
tool_favorite_searches.gif Favorite Searches Lets you save search results as a Favorite search or choose an existing Favorite search.
Favorite Searches are not available in SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard vaults.
tool_open_search.gif Open Search Opens a file-based search form in the upper-right pane.
tool_close_search.gif Close Search Closes search view and returns to file view.
