Replacing a Virtual Document

You can replace a placeholder virtual document with a real file when it becomes available. To replace a virtual document, you must have the virtual document checked out.

  1. Select the virtual document.
  2. Click Actions > Replace.
In the Select File to replace CVD with dialog box, locate the replacement document.
  3. Click Open.
The new file replaces the virtual file. The original name of the virtual document is retained. The file is automatically checked in to the vault.
