File Properties

Use the File Properties panel to view and change the properties of the ECAD file currently open in CircuitWorks.

To open this panel:

From the top of the tree view, right-click the board assembly and select Properties.
You can change the file version, board name, and source-system information. However, some ECAD file formats, such as IDF 2.0, cannot store this data so might be lost when saving to a different file type.

File Properties

File Type The ECAD file format, such as IDF 4.0 File or PADS *.asc File. Read-only.
File Version The file version number. To change the version number, type a number or use the arrow buttons.
Board Name The board name. Read-only.
Creation Date The time and date that the ECAD file was created. Read-only.

Source System

System Vendor The company whose ECAD system originally generated the file. For example, SOLIDWORKS. Not supported by all ECAD vendors.
System Name The ECAD system that originally generated the file. For example, CircuitWorks. Not supported by all ECAD vendors.
System Version The version number of the ECAD system. For example, v10. Not supported by all ECAD vendors.
