Interaction of Thermal Studies with Other Studies

Interaction of thermal studies with static, nonlinear, or transient thermal studies accommodates dissimilar meshes. After obtaining the temperature distribution from a thermal analysis with certain mesh properties, you can import the temperature data to a static, nonlinear, or transient thermal study with different mesh properties.

Coarse mesh for thermal study Finer mesh for static study

The figures show a finer mesh used for a static study that imports the initial temperature results from a thermal study with coarse mesh.
