You can add a library feature to a part by dragging the library feature from the Design Library to the part. You can also drag a library feature and place it on a plane.
You cannot add a library feature to an assembly. However, while editing a part in the context of an assembly, you can add a library feature to the part.
You can drag library features to a plane, or anywhere in the graphics area. If you drag a library feature to the graphics area, you are prompted to select a plane. You can also pre-select the plane.
You can position forming tools on sheet metal using sketch tools.
After the library feature is inserted into a part, you can dissolve (break down) a library feature into the individual features it contains.
When you save a library feature (.sldlfp) or a forming tool (.sldprt), the thumbnail graphic is saved in an isometric view, zoomed to fit, with a white background.
You can add color to a library feature document (.sldlfp), or to a library feature in a target part.
You can change which features are included as part of a library feature in the library feature part document (.sldlfp).
Selecting or clearing Link to Library part under Configurations determines the behavior of the library feature and the relation to the parent part.
