Publishing to 3D ContentCentral

If you plan to publish your model on 3D ContentCentral, you can use Configuration Publisher to define a custom interface so that your end users can select a configuration based on model parameters.

The methods for constructing the interface for 3D ContentCentral are identical to those for building a PropertyManager for SOLIDWORKS. See Creating a Custom PropertyManager.

Additional capabilities when preparing a model for publication on 3D ContentCentral include:
  • Displaying a part number
  • Testing for model health
You can use the Defeature tool to restrict the details available in the models downloaded by your customers.
