Flyout Tool Buttons

Similar commands are grouped into flyout buttons on toolbars and the CommandManager. For example, variations of the rectangle are grouped together in a button with a flyout control.

Flyout buttons can contain tool buttons only, or labeled buttons.

When you click the flyout button without expanding:

  • For some commands such as Sketch, the most commonly used command is performed. This command is the first listed and the command shown on the button.
  • For commands such as Rectangle, where you may want to repeatedly create the same variant of the rectangle, the last used command becomes the button icon and is the default command used.

Alternatively, you can click and select another variation.
