Plastic

The Plastic Appearance Type simulates many plastic types.

Parameters

Color Sets the color of the appearance in diffuse white light.
Highlight Color Sets the color of the appearance's specular highlights.
Transparency Color Sets the tint acquired by light passing through partially transparent appearances.
Diffusion Color Sets the scattering of light in translucent materials, such as clear plastic.
IOR (Index of Refraction) Controls how appearances with transparency bend light passing through them. It indirectly affects reflectivity.
Roughness Controls the highlight size in reflected light. The rougher the appearance, the more it diffuses the highlight (the larger and less focused the highlight becomes).
Solid Switches between two-sided verses and one-sided properties.
Color Density Determines the density of the color on the simulated surface, compared to solid glass in reality. Color Density affects the color saturation with the Solid option enabled. The thicker the surface, the greater tint possible.
