If the document did not load:

  1. Using the form below the eDrawings ActiveX control, try browsing to and opening an eDrawings file that exists on your system.
  2. If that document does not load:
    1. Read Instantiating the eDrawings Control in the Getting Started topic of eDrawings API Help.   
    2. Right-click this Help topic and select View Source. The code is displayed in Notepad.
      1. Verify that the CLSID referenced in the code matches your registry setting for EModelView.EModelViewControl.nn, where nn is the two-digit year of this eDrawings version.
      2. If the CLSID in the code does not match, then modify the CLSID in the code to match your registry setting.
      3. Check that the eDrawings document referenced in the code exists on your system.
      4. If the eDrawings document does not exist on your system, change the path and file name to an eDrawings file that exists on your system.
      5. Save the Notepad file with filename extension .html.
      6. Exit Notepad.
      7. Open the HTML file in Windows Internet Explorer.
      8. If a warning displays that Windows Internet Explorer has restricted the file from running ActiveX controls:
        1. Click the Information bar near the top of the webpage.
        2. Select Allow Blocked Content.
        3. Click Yes in the dialog.

    When the document loads, click the buttons on the form to perform operations.

    NOTES: The eDrawings ActiveX control only works with Windows Internet Explorer.

Opens a document. File name:
Closes the active document.
Activates Full Screen mode. Press Esc to exit Full Screen mode.
Displays the Send As dialog that allows you to select a format in which to email the active document.
Saves the active document. Selecting Show Save Options displays a dialog that allows you to select more options before saving the active document. Show Save Options

Shows the Print dialog that allows you to print the active document.

Opens the eDrawings Help in the web browser.
Clears the current selections in the active document.
