Using Drag and Drop

To add files to the upload queue by dragging and dropping:

  1. Select the files and drag them to the Drag & drop your files here to upload area in the File Upload tool.
  2. When you drop the files on the File Upload tool, the program checks each file and determines if it is a new upload or a replacement. For each upload, a row is added to the Upload Queue containing:
    • Status
    • File Name
    • Part Number
    • File Version

File Version displays NEW Upload if the file is new and Revision if it is already in 3D ContentCentral Uploaded files area.

  3. When you select a single row by clicking its selection box, the File Details appear. You can enter or modify all of the data for the model. Use the arrows at the bottom of the File Details pane to view the information for other files in the Upload Queue.

You can upload the files without modifying the File Details in the File Upload tool. You can modify the file details directly in the 3D ContentCentral Uploaded files area.

  4. Select the files you want to upload in the Upload Queue pane and click .

When the upload completes, 3D ContentCentral runs the models through some basic checks. Models that pass these checks are placed in the 3D ContentCentral Content Manager with an Unpublished status. Models that fail these checks are rejected and are placed in the Rejected Models section of the 3D ContentCentral Uploaded files area

  5. In the Confirmation window, click Close.

This process uploads the models; it does not publish them.
