Updating Models on 3D ContentCentral

You can update a model or its file details.

To update a model on 3D ContentCentral:

  1. Select the updated files for the model from your Windows directory and drag them to the Upload Queue pane in the File Upload tool, or use the Excel template with the updated files. When the files are placed in the upload queue, the File Version appears as Revision.
  2. Select the model you want to update from the upload queue and click

A dialog box asks if you want to overwrite the files on 3D ContentCentral. Click Yes to overwrite the files; click No to cancel the operation. If you select Do not ask again, future overwrites will occur when you click Upload and you will not be able to cancel the operation.

If you want to update a model but the File Upload tool detects your model as a NEW Upload, you can change its part number to be the same as the part number of the model you want to update and it will become a Revision instead of a NEW Upload.

To update file details, see Updating File Details.
