Shaded Views

The Shaded tool_Shaded.gif tool toggles 3D model faces and 2D drawings between Shaded mode and Hidden Lines Removed (HLR). You can also choose to show edges in Shaded mode.

To toggle between shaded and HLR display mode:

Click Display Style > Shaded tool_Shaded.gif or View > Shaded.

To toggle edges in shaded mode:

Click Display Style > Shaded With Edges or View > Shaded With Edges.

*.eprt, *.easm (published from SOLIDWORKS 2006 or earlier) ON if in Shaded or Shaded with Edges mode when published OFF
*.slddrw, *.edrw ON Not available

When documents are saved from eDrawings as eDrawings part or assembly files, the shaded state is remembered; the state of Shaded With Edges is not remembered.
