Inserting a PDF Form

You can place a fill-in field on the template that the end user can complete after the 3D PDF document is generated.

To insert a PDF Form Field:

  1. In the SOLIDWORKS 3D PDF Template Editor, click Text .
  2. In the PropertyManager, click PDF Form Field .
    A PDF Area Placeholder appears on the template.
  3. In Field name, type a name.
  4. Select the Font Size, Font Family, and Text Color.
  5. Optionally, drag the text block to a location and resize it using the handles.
  6. Click .
