Empty Views

Use empty views to sketch geometry that may not be shown by the part or assembly but that is relevant to the drawing. You can add annotations, dimensions, and area hatch to empty views.

You can insert empty views into drawing documents.

To insert an empty view:

  1. Click Empty View (Drawing toolbar), or click Insert > Drawing View > Empty.
  2. Click in the graphics area to place the view.
  3. Set options in the PropertyManager, then click OK.
