Saving Camera Settings

You can save a camera's settings and position to a file so you can share cameras with other projects and users.

You can save the settings individually, or in one action by selecting multiple cameras.

Cameras are saved in the Camera library (SOLIDWORKS Visualize Content\Cameras) as .svcm files.

Saving Settings for a Single Camera

To save settings for a single camera:

  1. In the Palette, on the Camera tab:
    1. Select a camera.
    2. Click Save Camera File.
  2. In the dialog box, type a File name and click Save.
    By default, the file name includes the path to SOLIDWORKS Visualize Content\Cameras and the name of the camera. You can change both.

Saving Settings for Multiple Cameras

To save settings for multiple cameras:

  1. In the Palette, on the Camera tab:
    1. Shift + click to select the cameras to save.
    2. Right-click and click Save to file.
  2. In the dialog box:
    1. Navigate to a folder.
      The default is SOLIDWORKS Visualize Content\Cameras.
    2. Click Save.
