Menu Bar

The menu bar provides access to Item Explorer commands.

File > New Item Explorer Opens a new Item Explorer window.
File > Exit Exits the Item Explorer window.
Edit > Copy Copies the selected item, link, or folder so you can paste it elsewhere. You cannot create a new item by copying an existing item.
Edit > Cut Cuts the selected item, link, or folder so you can paste it elsewhere. When used to create an item link, Cut behaves like Copy.
Edit > Paste Pastes a cut or copied item, file link, or folder to a new location. You can only paste onto the latest version of an item.
Edit > Select All Selects all items and files in the active folder.
View > Card Preview Enables the display of the file's data card in the Preview tab.
Tools > SOLIDWORKS PDM Administration Displays the Administration tool. Users with permissions can perform administrative tasks, such as manage SOLIDWORKS PDM users. All users can change their SOLIDWORKS PDM vault passwords.
Help > Contents Displays this online help system.
Help > About Item Explorer Displays Item Explorer version information.
