Applying Nonuniform Pressure Normal to a Face To apply nonuniform pressure normal to a face: In the Simulation study tree, right-click the External Loads icon and select Pressure . The Pressure PropertyManager appears. Under Type, select Normal to selected face. In the graphics area, click the face on which the pressure is applied. Under Pressure Value, do the following: Set Units to the desired pressure units. Type the pressure value in the Pressure Value box . Click . Check the Nonuniform Distribution check box. Click inside the Select a Coordinate System box then select a coordinate system from the FeatureManager tree. Select a coordinate system (cartesian, cylindrical, or spherical), and click Edit Equation to enter the equation that describes the nonuniform distribution. For example: The above settings applies the following pressure in cartesian coordinates: P(x,y) = 20 ( 1+2*X+3*sqrt (Y)) Click .
