Viewing Analysis Results You view the results after running a study. In viewing the results, you can generate plots, lists, graphs, and reports depending on the study and result types. Contents Plotting Results The software generates a Results folder in the Simulation study tree after running a study successfully. The default plots in the Results folder depend on the study type and the options you set on the Default Options tab of the Options dialog box. Listing Results Although plotting is usually a better result viewing tool, it is sometimes preferable to list the results in a tabular form. For example, after running a frequency study, you can list all requested resonant frequencies. Processing Result Plots Graphing Results Compare Test Data The Compare Test Data dialog box allows you to compare reference data to simulation data at selected locations. You can base the reference data on field measurements, other external sources, or a study. Simulation Data Sensors Probing Result Plots In many cases, you may want to know the numerical value of the plotted field at a particular location. Use the probe tool to display the numerical value of the plotted field at the closest node or element's center to the selected model location. You can graph the results or save them to a file.
