Setting the Toolpath Output Folder

You can set the toolpath output folder by tool, feature, and part for multiple parts in assemblies.

To set the toolpath output folder:

  1. In the SOLIDWORKS CAM tree, in the Machine dialog box, click the Setup tab.
  2. Under Output multiple parts by, select an option:
    Option Description
    Tool Processes (posts/simulates) all toolpaths machined by the tool on one part, then repeats the sequence for other part instances. This process starts with the first feature and continues for consecutive operations that use the same tool.
    Feature Processes the toolpath on each instance of a feature before moving to the next feature.
    Part Processes all of the toolpaths on a part, then processes the next part.
  3. Click OK.
