SOLIDWORKS PDM includes a Report Generator that lets users create, save, and print detailed reports from file information in a vault.
Reports are generated from queries that are stored in text files with the extension .crp.
When the report is run, the query result is shown in the Result pane of the Report Generator. Users can export results to Comma Separated Value (.csv) files and import them into a spread sheet program like Microsoft Excel.
