Deleting Item Folders

You can remove obsolete item folders from the vault.

  1. In the navigation pane, right-click a folder and select Delete.

    If the folder is empty, it is deleted. If the folder contains items or subfolders, the system prompts you to confirm.

  2. In the Confirm Multiple File Delete dialog box:
    1. Clear Accept for any folder or item you do not want to delete. You can only delete an empty folder.
    2. Click Delete to delete the selected folders or items, or click Cancel.

Deleted folders and items are not available from the vault but are not permanently deleted (destroyed). You can recover or destroy folders and items from the parent folder's recycling bin using the Deleted Items tab of the parent folder's Properties dialog box.

To destroy folders and items without first sending them to the recycling bin, press the Shift key while clicking Delete.
