Using the Gear Menu for Queries

The Gear menu contains commands that are useful for creating and refining queries, and saving and bookmarking member and product records.

Command Keyboard Shortcut Description
Save Record Ctrl+S Lets you save individual member and product records.
New Query Alt+Q Lets you to create a new query by entering text in one or more of the fields on the members page such as First Name, Last Name, User Rights, Email, and Assigned Products, and on the products pages, such as Product Name, Product Type, Serial Number, Activated, Assigned, and Expire.
Run Query Alt+ENTER Runs the query you created.
Refine Query Alt+G

Lets you change and add text in the query fields.

Save Query As Alt+S

Lets you name and save the query for future use.

About Record Ctrl+Alt+K Displays information about a selected record, such as the creation and update dates, and the users who created and last updated the record.
Record Count Ctrl+Shift+3 Displays the number or records that were returned by your query.
Create Bookmark   Creates a hyperlink bookmark to a selected record. You can copy that hyperlink into a document or email.
Hide Sort Icons   Lets you to hide the sort icons on the members screens and products screens and disable sorting. When you select Hide Sort Icons, the menu choice changes to Show Sort Icons.
Apply List  

Lets you combine the results of an existing list with your query. When you select Apply List, a dialog box lets you find an existing list. If you click Union, the entries in the list are added to the records in your current query. If you click Intersection, the results show only those records that appear in both the list and your query.

Select All Ctrl+A Selects all of the records displayed on the screen.
Columns Displayed Ctrl+Shift+K Lets you select which columns are displayed on the members and products pages.
Export   Lets you export the results of your query. You can export all rows in the column, or only the current row, and all columns, or only visible columns. You can export the results as a tab delimited text file, a comma separated text file, an HTML file, or a text file with a delimiter that you specify.
Advanced Sort   Lets you sort the results of your query on up to three columns.
