Toolbar

The eDrawings toolbar provides tools for performing basic operations and file display manipulation.

The toolbar contains following tools:

Zoom to Fit Fits the model in the graphics area.
Zoom to Area Lets you zoom a specific area of the model.
Zoom In/Out Lets you zoom in and out.
Rotate Lets you rotate part and assembly models, as well as drawing, detail, and section views of drawings.
Pan Lets you pan a part, assembly, or drawing file.
Shaded Lets you toggle the model between Shaded mode and Hidden Lines Removed (HLR).
Perspective Displays a perspective view of a model.
Ambient Occlusion Controls the attenuation of ambient light to appear the object as they would on an overcast day.
To enable ambient occlusion in files, in eDrawings, click Tools > Options, and select Fastest speed.
Front View Displays the front view.
Back View Displays the back view.
Left View Displays the left view.
Right View Displays the right view.
Top View Displays the top view.
Bottom View Displays the bottom view.
Isometric View Displays the isometric view.
Measure Measures exact dimensions in part, assembly, and drawing documents.
Select Lets you select the model in the graphics.
Home Returns the model to its state when opened.
View Markup Lets you view the markups such as geometric elements, clouds, text, or dimensions.
Explode Lets you control the extent of explode.

Selection of Configuration and Sheet

SOLIDWORKS PDM lets you select a configuration and sheet in the Preview tab.

In the Preview tab, on the eDrawings toolbar, you can select:
  • Configurations from the Configurations list for the .EPRT, .EASM, .SLDPRT, and .SLDASM files.
  • Sheets from the list for the .EDRW, .SLDDRW, .DXF, and .DWG files.
