Administrator Tasks

Administrators are typically responsible for managing user accounts and online licenses.

By default, SOLIDWORKS is set up to use machine activation. The basic steps for enabling online licensing with the Admin Portal are:

If you already have SOLIDWORKS installed on a machine, manually deactivate the license.
Set a product's activation type from machine activation to online licensing.
Assign products to users.
