Defining Aligned Dimensional Constraints
Use the DcAligned command to constrain the direct distance between two points on entities with respect to the current coordinate system.
To define aligned Dimensional Constraints by specifying two constraint points:
- Click Constraints > Dimensional Constraints > Aligned (or type DcAligned).
- Specify the first constraint point on an entity.
- Specify the second constraint point on an entity.
- The second point does not need to lie on the same entity specified with the first point.
- The first and the second constraint points define the dimension line origin.
- Specify the dimension line position.
- The dimension line is created parallel to the axis defined by the two constraint points.
- If necessary, edit the dimension parameter value.
- Press Enter or click in the graphics area.
To define aligned Dimensional Constraints by specifying entities:
- Click Constraints > Dimensional Constraints > Aligned (or type DcAligned).
- Specify the Entity option.
- Specify an entity (Line, linear PolyLine, or Arc).
- Specify the dimension line position.
- If necessary, edit the dimension parameter value.
- Press Enter or click in the graphics area.
