Defining Linear Dimensional Constraints
Use the DcLinear command to constrain the horizontal or vertical distance between two points on entities with respect to the current coordinate system.
To define linear Dimensional Constraints by specifying two constraint points:
- Type DcLinear at the command prompt.
- Specify the first constraint point on an entity.
- Specify the second constraint point on an entity.
- The second point does not need to lie on the same entity specified with the first point.
- Specify the dimension line position.
- Move the pointer along the X-axis to define a vertical Dimensional Constraint.
- Move the pointer along the Y-axis to define a horizontal Dimensional Constraint.
- If necessary, edit the dimension parameter value.
- Press Enter or click in the graphics area.
To define linear dimensional constraints by specifying entities:
- Type DcLinear at the command prompt.
- Specify the Entity option.
- Specify an entity (Line, linear PolyLine, Arc, or elliptical Arc).
