-Preview

You can see how the drawing will look when it is printed or plotted.

The -Preview command is the command window variant of the Preview command.

To preview a printout:

  1. Type -Preview at the command prompt.
  2. Specify the printer name.

    Type ? to list all available printers. Specify an existing printer from the list.

  3. Specify the output file name.
  4. To specify whether you want to print the file, type Yes or No.

    The output file opens.

  5. Use the toolbar to:
    • Print or plot the drawing.
    • Pan the preview.
    • Zoom in or out (the default state).
    • Zoom to window specified by two opposite points on the preview.
    • Zoom to the original view of the preview.
    • Close the preview.

Note: It is required that a printer has already been assigned to the current Model or layout Sheet. Use the PageLayout command to assign a printer to the Model or Sheet.
