Symmetry control forces the optimized design to be symmetric about a
specified plane. You can enforce a half, quarter, or one-eighth planar symmetry for an
optimized design.
To display the Symmetry
Control PropertyManager:
From a Topology study tree, right-click Manufacturing
Controls, and click Specify Symmetry (Planes)

- Half Symmetry:
optimized design should be symmetric with respect to the
specified plane.
- Quarter Symmetry:
optimized design should be symmetric with respect to two
orthogonal planes.
- One-eighth Symmetry:
optimized design should be symmetric with respect to three
orthogonal planes.

Select a reference plane that defines the
symmetry plane. Specify one plane for
Half Symmetry, two orthogonal planes
for Quarter Symmetry, and three
orthogonal planes for One-eighth
Symmetry.
