Properties |
Sets which component property to
list in the Assembly Visualization panel. Available properties include:
SW-Calculated Cost
|
Reports the cost of the component,
calculated by the Costing tool.
|
SW-Density
|
Reports the density of the component,
calculated based on the material properties.
|
SW-Mass
|
Reports the mass of the component,
calculated based on model geometry and material
properties.
|
SW-Material
|
Reports the material of the component,
assigned to the part from the Materials dialog box or the favorites
list.
|
SW-Open Time
|
Reports which components take the
longest to open. You could then simplify or remove those
components to decrease the time
required
to open the assembly.
|
SW-Rebuild Time
|
Reports the time to rebuild the
component.
|
SW-SurfaceArea
|
Reports the surface area of the
component, calculated based on model geometry.
|
SW-Volume
|
Reports the volume of the component,
calculated based on model geometry.
|
Converted to Current Version
|
Reports whether or not the component
is
saved in the current version of SOLIDWORKS.
|
Excluded from BOM
|
(Instance-specific.) Reports whether or
not the component is set to Exclude from bill of materials in the
Component
Properties dialog box.
|
External Reference
|
Reports whether or not the component is
dependent on another model for its solution.
|
Flexible Assembly
|
(Instance-specific.) Reports whether or
not the component is set to Flexible in the Component Properties
dialog box.
|
Fully Mated
|
(Instance-specific.) Reports whether or
not the position of the component is fully
constrained.
|
Graphics-Triangles
|
Reports the number of tessellation
triangles used to display a component. For a given
component, as you increase the image quality setting,
the triangle count increases and performance slows down.
If graphics performance is slow in a very large
assembly, you can sort components by Graphics-Triangles.
Then consider hiding components with high triangle
counts.
|
Quantity
|
Reports the number of instances of the
component in the assembly.
|
Custom and configuration-specific properties
defined in the component files are also available.
If SOLIDWORKS
Sustainability is installed, its properties are also
available. Instance-specific properties, such as Fully Mated, can have
different values for different instances of the component.
Properties that are not instance-specific, such as
SW-Mass, have
the same value for all instances of the
component.
|
Column
header |
Sets the name that appears at the
top of the column. Type a name or use the default that appears for
the selected property. |
Use
Formula |
Activates the equation field.
|
|
Sets the equation that calculates
the values listed in the Assembly Visualization panel. To create an
equation, select numerical items from Properties and type operators and numbers.
Available operators: Addition
Subtraction
Multiplication
Division
Exponentiation
Example equations:
"SW-Volume"*"Quantity"
("SW-SurfaceArea"/144)*"Quantity"
