Fastener Stack is an assembly-level
feature where you define a stack of Toolbox fasteners and apply them to multiple holes in
assemblies. Each stack is an instance of a virtual subassembly.
Large quantities of Toolbox components can affect assembly and drawing
performance. Although you may not need the components visible, it is important that they
are in BOMs. The
Fastener Stack tool reduces:
- Visual clutter in the graphics area. You can choose different display modes.
Regardless of the display mode, the components appear in BOMs. The virtual
subassemblies are not in BOMs.
- The number of mates required. Mates between fasteners in the stack are in the
virtual subassembly.
- Additional geometry in assemblies.
