The Previous Selection 
tool restores the last set of entities you selected in the current editing session.
For example, if you used Ctrl to select a series of entities and accidentally clear the selection, clicking Previous Selection will restore it.
To access Previous Selection, with nothing selected, right-click an empty space in the graphics area and click Previous Selection in the selection context toolbar.
Previous Selection is only available if you have made and cleared selections in the current editing session.
