Body Compare PropertyManager

To open the Body Compare PropertyManager:

Click View > Display > Body Compare . You can also select Body Compare from the Evaluate and Mesh Modeling tabs in the CommandManager.

Body Compare is not available if the part is a single body or if the assembly contains only one body component.

Specify options to compare bodies:

  Dynamic Help Displays detailed help when you hover over the controls.
Source Bodies Specifies the source bodies from a scan, a mesh file, or a CAD model. Bodies can be any type: classic BREP bodies, mesh BREP bodies, or graphics bodies. Classic BREP and mesh BREP can be solid or surface bodies.

Specify the display of the source bodies:

Hidden Display
Transparent Display
Wireframe Display
Compare Bodies Specifies the CAD model bodies to compare. Bodies can be any type: classic BREP bodies, mesh BREP bodies, or graphics bodies. Classic BREP and mesh BREP can be solid or surface bodies.

Color Settings

Legend Threshold Specifies the absolute value of deviation allowed by the scale. Move the slider to change the distances.
  Show Legend on Screen Displays the legend after closing the Body Compare PropertyManager.
  Accuracy
Improves the accuracy of the body compare.
Higher accuracy might impact performance.

This slider is disabled when the compare bodies are graphics mesh bodies.

  Unmatched color Identifies areas on the compare bodies that do not match the source bodies.

For example, you compare bodies where the compare body is not a complete reproduction of the source body. The unmatched color appears in areas where there is no corresponding geometry on the source bodies. Either the geometry is missing or is too far away.

Click Edit Color to select a color.

After you create a body compare analysis, the analysis remains on display in the graphics area. To close the analysis, right-click in the graphics area and click Body Compare . To modify the analysis options, right-click in the graphics area and click Body Compare Properties.
