Importing DXF and DWG Files

SOLIDWORKS 3D Interconnect supports importing BREP data from DXF or DWG files.

1. Open a DXF or DWG file.
2. In the DXF/DWG Import dialog box, under Import to a new part as, click 3D curves or models.
3. Click Finish.
   The software imports BREP data from the DXF or DWG file.

   You can do the following on the imported body:

   • Edit feature
   • Update model
   • Break link
