Installing the 3DEXPERIENCE Connector for SOLIDWORKS Visualize Add-In

You can install the 3DEXPERIENCE Connector for SOLIDWORKS Visualize from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Prerequisites:
  • 3DEXPERIENCE credentials
  • A web browser
  • The 64-bit version of the Java 11 JRE component or later
  • A full product installation of SOLIDWORKS Visualize Standard or Professional 2020 SP3 or later

To install the 3DEXPERIENCE Connector for SOLIDWORKS Visualize:

  1. Close SOLIDWORKS Visualize.
  2. Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  3. On the top bar of the 3DDashboard, click the Compass .
  4. Under Me, click 3DEXPERIENCE Connector for SOLIDWORKS Visualize.

  5. Follow the prompts to download and install the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher and more add-in components.
    The components available to you depend on your platform roles. They download sequentially, so keep your browser window open and watch for prompts.
  6. To use the 3DEXPERIENCE Connector for the first time:
    1. Return to the 3DDashboard in your browser.
    2. Click the Compass , click 3DEXPERIENCE Connector for SOLIDWORKS Visualize, and log in.
