You can create multiple connection points in parts.
Select the following parameters to create multiple connection points in parts:
- A sketch that has sketch points. The number of connection
points is equal to the number of sketch points in a sketch.
- Multiple circular edges.
- Multiple circular and cylindrical faces.
Assign Port ID Information
You can assign port ID or pin information to the connection points through the
Connection Point PropertyManager.
For the route type as
Electrical, the
software displays the
Assign Pin Information
section. For the route types as
Tube and
Fabricated Pipe, the software displays
the
Assign Port ID Information section.
Selected Entities |
Displays the entities from the
Selections
section. |
CPoint Name |
Displays the connection point
name, which you can edit. |
Port ID or Pin
Number |
Displays the port ID or pin
number, which you can edit. |
To create the connection points for the Selected
Entities, select the check box for each row.
View/Edit Connection Point Parameters
You can use this dialog box to view and edit connection point parameters. The
software highlights the CPoint or ACPoint in the graphics area and FeatureManager
design tree when you select or edit any parameter.
To access this dialog box:
- Open a part that has connection points or an assembly that has assembly
connection points.
- In the FeatureManager design tree, right-click CPoint and click View/Edit Connection Point Parameters.

Name |
Displays the connection point
name. |
Pin
Number/Port ID |
Displays the pin number or port
number, which you can edit. |
Stub Length |
Displays the stub length, which you define when you
create connection points. You can edit the stub length. |
Reverse Direction |
Reverses the direction of the route. |
For assembly connection points, you can edit only the Pin
Number/Port ID.
