Create and Edit Component Patterns in Large Design Review

You can create and edit linear and circular component patterns when you edit an assembly in Large Design Review mode. You can edit pattern driven and sketch driven component patterns. This functionality is available for top-level assemblies only.

You can use the following tools when you right-click a pattern feature in the FeatureManager design tree:
  • Edit Feature
  • Suppress
  • Unsuppress
  • Hide Components
  • Show Components
  • Isolate Components

For a component pattern that is driven by an unavailable entity, **LargeDesignReview** shows as a prefix to the entity name in the PropertyManager.

To use this functionality, save the assembly in SOLIDWORKS® 2020 and later.

To create component patterns in Large Design Review Mode:

  1. Click Open .
  2. In the dialog box, select an assembly, and then in Mode, select Large Design Review.
  3. Select Edit assembly.
  4. Click Open.
  5. Click Linear Component Pattern (Assembly toolbar).
  6. Specify options in the PropertyManager.
