From
the internet, you can download IES light profiles from lighting manufacturers such as
Philips and Lithonia, and add them to the Lights
folder of the library in SOLIDWORKS Visualize.
The Lights folder contains samples of IES profiles. These profiles do not represent specific profiles from light manufacturers. However, you can use a sample profile if, for example, you have not yet decided on or obtained a specific IES profile to use. Also, you can use a sample profile if you want a unique look for a light source but do not need a specific profile.
To find IES light profiles:
- Search the internet using a string such as “ies light profiles download” to find sources.
- Download the files and copy them to the Lights folder in your SOLIDWORKS Visualize Content folder.
By default, the content folder is located in your Documents folder.
