Warp analysis predicts the final shape and dimensions of a part after the
injection molding machine ejects it and the part is fully cooled.
The Warp Settings
PropertyManager lets you set the environmental conditions for a Warp analysis. You
can also adjust advanced solver settings.
To open the Warp Settings
PropertyManager:
- In the PlasticsManager, expand Process
Parameters, and double-click Warp
Settings
.
Process Parameters
 |
Ambient Temperature (°C)
|
Sets the temperature of the air
which surrounds the ejected part while cooling. |
 |
Gravity Downward Direction
|
Specifies the direction of the
gravitational force in the global coordinate system. |
Solver Settings
Solver Type
|
Sets the solver type for the analysis. The
AMG iterative solver uses the least
amount of memory for the computation. The
Direct solver uses more memory to run the
analysis and can reach a solution faster. The
AMG solver is the default option. |
AMG cycle iteration number
|
Specifies the number of iterations for the
AMG iterative solver. |
High quality mesh (quadratic)
|
Enables the use of quadratic
(second order) finite elements. This option may improve the accuracy
but it requires more time to run an analysis. |
