- Shell Manager
The Shell Manager improves the workflow for defining, editing and organizing multiple shell definitions of your part or assembly document. It allows for a better visualization, verification, and editing of shell properties by displaying the shell type, thickness, orientation, and material for all shells in a single interface.
- Manage Shell Groups
With the Manage Shell Group dialog box, you can create shell group objects. All shells assigned to a group have the same formulation (thick or thin), material, and thickness.
- Shell Definition PropertyManager
The Shell Definition PropertyManager is used to define the thickness of thin and thick shell elements. You can also define a shell as a composite for static, frequency, and buckling studies.
- Offsets for Shells
You can control the position of the shell mesh to the top, middle, or bottom faces of the shell. To position the mesh to a reference surface, you can type an offset value. By default, the mesh is always aligned to the middle face of the shell.
- Shell Color
You can display shells by color to identify the thickness or material of the shell. Every shell with a unique thickness or material appears in a unique color.
