Adding Coverings

To add a covering to a route:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Covering (Electrical, Piping, Tubing, and Routing Tools Toolbars).
    • Right-click a route segment and select Covering.
    • Click Covering in the Route Properties PropertyManager.
  2. Set options in the Covering PropertyManager.
  3. Click .

To add a covering to only a portion of a route, use Split Route to split the route.

For Interference Detection to detect the covering, you must create a covering part. To create a covering part, select Appear in drawing in the Covering PropertyManager. Otherwise, the software only displays a representation of the covering, but does not create a part.

To add transparent covering, click Tools > Options > System Options > Routing and select Create transparent coverings.
