Save Assembly as Part PropertyManager

To open the Save Assembly as Part PropertyManager:

  1. In an assembly, click File > Save As.
  2. Select Part (*.prt;*.sldprt) for the file type.
  3. Select Include specified components.
  4. Select Override defaults.
  5. Click Save.

Specify the following options in the PropertyManager:

Remove Components

Visibility threshold (internal components) Removes components that are below the visibility threshold.

Move the slider to the right to increase the threshold for the internal component to be visible.
Bounding box volume less than Removes components that are below the volume threshold.

This bounding box is a cuboid that aligns to the component origin and fits around the geometry of the component. This bounding box is different from a bounding box created by the Bounding Box PropertyManager.

Fastener components Removes components that have the IsFastener property set to 1.
Display Controls the display of components. Select an option:

Display All

Shows all components.

Display Included Components

Shows included components.

Display Removed Components

Shows removed components.

Include

Mass Properties Overrides the mass properties of the part with the mass properties from the assembly.

Results

Use these settings in System Options Applies the selections made in this PropertyManager to the System Options.

This option is not available if the Systems Options are locked by an administrator.
Reset Restores the PropertyManager default options.
